I had my Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray for 2 weeks. I've never owned a Blu-Ray first. Looks good in my cabinet, is more comfortable than my roommate Blu-ray and, of course, it's got amazing picture and audio. The USB port and Ethernet port for the job, but I have a firmware or code updates are still down.
The only real operational noise you hear is a track in search, you can hear the couch when it is silent. Not a big problem for me. Inoticed an occasional flicker in the center of the screen in some parts of most blacks) screens (as strengths. It's always in the same frame, but it is a problem with the disk, rather than the player might be.
One of the main advantages of the Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray is more that my roommate is that the disk load much faster. It also helps that makes a progress bar during loading times seem to be less annoying. At least you know somethinghappens.
Of course, the Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray are not perfect. It is not top-of-the-line, so what do you expect? First, only the outputs on the back are the RCA outputs - no coaxial No headphones, none of the older types of wiring - So you've got to get a newer TV (not as we do not lose the entire look HD Blu-Ray, while on a TV in every case large). More importantly, there is no audio output Dolby 5.1.
One of the upshots of this isnot ignore the receivers pre-amp to play in the latest audio formats and let the Blu-ray player decode them. The old receiver, I only Dolby 5.1 (no DTS). This player can send pulse modulated current in the receiver to a Dolby 5.1, but my receiver is only seen in 2-channel (not to "talk"), Pulse Code Modulation. At least the players can downgrade sampling, so that older receivers still solid, though not as clean as it could be amodern receivers.
I ended up going out and pay for a new receiver to take advantage of the sound quality that the Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray offers. Maybe I am a little 'obsessive, but just did not seem fair to have impressive new image and do not need the perfect sound to go with him.
So my conclusion is that for people with new TV receivers and new - the Blu-ray is top-notch. If you have an older receiver, ironically, the best savingsa bit 'more would have been paid for a player with Dolby 5.1 analog outputs and reuse the existing receiver.
