Features and Performance

Design: If you are in for a credit card thin 12.1MP digital camera, the Canon PowerShot SD780IS is. Luckily, the camera is surprisingly solid come in gold, black, silver and red, it's a large handle with flat, easy-access controls. Measuring 3.4 inches by 2.2 inches deep by 0.7 inches, the camera weighs very little with 4.7 ounces. It offers a 2.5-inch LCD viewfinder.

Specifications: The camera has a 12.1MP 1/2.3 "CCD sensor with a 3-foldoptical zoom lens f3.2-5.8 running on. With the 33-100mm lens when it is a little wider than most angles and is ideal for group shots. Camera does the 4000x3000 pixel images in JPEG, but takes the cake with an MOV (H.264) movie format at 1280x720 resolution at 30 frames per second frame rates. Despite its slender body of the camera packs mechanical and electronic image stabilizers, together with a lithium-ion battery that is rated at 210 shots per charge.

Features & Performance: With a little moreextensive feature set, offers than most of the Canon PowerShot SD780IS sensitivity up to ISO 1600, white balance, focus, with Servo AF, evaluative metering and a lot Vivid color effects. Most auto modes work wonderfully and can use its 720p HD movie recording camera directly via a mini-HDMI connector as well.

While the Canon PowerShot SD780IS no satisfactory results provide a quick start-up time of 1.5 seconds and a good shutter lag of 0.4 seconds and 0.6 seconds in good lightingin low, the camera is not so good with shot to shot times in 2.4 seconds without flash, and almost 5 seconds with flash. The continuous shooting mode was quite slow at 0.8 frames per second. But more than the quality of an image with accurate colors and good clarity at ISO 200

Overall, the Canon PowerShot SD780IS great images and 720p HD movies in one is extremely powerful ultra-compact housing making it ideal for the handbag or pocket. While grip is verycomfortable, the flat controls make it a little better suited for those with slender fingers, while the extra-feature should be set for all appeals.

Is it possible to produce for probably the largest manufacturer of electronic gadget on the planet a respectable digital camera for under $ 250 to? I'm talking about Sony here, and the camera in question is the Sony Cybershot DSCW200 Digital Camera. The DSCW200 is an ultra-compact digital, but is based on the high side of the ultracompact category prize. Is it a worthy competitor, or just a poser?

Let's start with the most important test of a camera ... Image quality. Not sorespectable with the DSC-W200. Sony chose to go with 12 megapixels in this ultra-compact. For this price, I had greater expectations for the DSC-W200 LCD. Unfortunately, it looks like Sony cheaped here. 115,000 pixels for a 2.5-inch LCD screen is not large. There is actually quite grainy, and quite hard to get off-angle or in bright sunlight. As a basis for comparing the head of Canon cameras inThis category sport 3-inch LCD screen with 230,000 pixel resolution. At least Sony has to offer an optical viewfinder. Not much, but a seeker no less.

During this next quibble is small I agree, I have to bring it simple. The included USB cable for Sony DSC-W200 is copyrighted. I hate having to buy a product that is forced only by a product of the company. I like choice. Sony has the annoying habit of pushing proprietary technology goes back to the beta --Video, Memory Stick, and now with the whole Blu-Ray fiasco. Not to say they were not good / better technologies, I just like choice.

But wait, that's not all. Sony has enough slip ups with the Cybershot DSC-W200, Sony make even the most ardent lovers cast a coquettish glance at other candidates. Here are a few other reasons:

- The zoom lens has zoom not enough

- Has excessive megapixels, price too high, driven

- Time for flash to recharge is not acceptable

--Camera controls are great left-handers will find it difficult

- Face detection is in automatic mode

The Canon Powershot A480 is the entry level model in the Canon digital camera line-up. It has fewer features than other models in the range. This has the advantage of being easy to use and keep lowering the price.

The good news is, despite the lower price tag it will be still able to make high-quality photos. I was very impressed by the sharpness of the images impressed than with standard outdoor scenes. These include black and white and sepia.

The power is supplied by two AA batteries. With these batteries instead of the more common lithium-ion which helps explain why the Powershot A480 is a little larger than mostDigital cameras. Canon estimates you should be at around 200 shots before leaving to take a standard set of batteries. Personally, I feel that looking on the bright side, and it may be worthwhile to help you in budgeting for a set of rechargeable batteries to minimize it, too.

Canon is the only brand I can still deliver their digital camera memory cards with the question. All other brands tend to build memory into the camera. A 32 MB card is supplied with the camera. This hasenough space for about a dozen shots before the card is full. In addition to SD cards, the camera is also compatible with SDHC cards.

The PowerShot A480 was introduced in February 2009. Other similar cameras were introduced at this time, the Sony DSC-W950 and the Olympus FE-5000. One possible problem you can find the Fuji digital cameras, that is if you drop it, chances are it is not on that work and you will lose your internal memory. Images captured on a memory card should still be there.
